It's Official.... I Am a Movin' Mama

We have known for months that one day soon we would leave the grand state of Illinois. We had no idea when or where just that it was going to happen. As soon as it started to feel like it was never going to happen.... wahmo! It happens! So, once again we are moving! The husband is taking us to the lovely desert of Arizona. There is a different kind of beauty that comes with the desert. It is not lush and green like Virginia or Illinois. It is not mountainous like Montana. I think it looks like a kitty litter box decorated in Mother Nature's cacti and flowers.

We are excited for the most part. Minus the tarantulas, scorpions, lizards, black widows, snakes, and spending my 3rd trimester in their scorching summer months. Really, though I am super excited and so are the kids. They have been filling up the bath tub, getting in their swim suits, and pretending that the tub is their pool in Arizona. Too cute. The hubby and I are going on the house hunting trip after Spring Break (THANK YOU GRANDMA for coming and being with the kids). I am hopeful to find a place within a few days. Wish us luck!!

I had a dream about our house hunting visit. Does anyone else have crazy dreams when they are pregnant?? I was humongously huge pregnant. The realtor would take us to a house and while her and the hubby would go and look at the house, I would just go and get in the pool and float around like a big, fat bouyo. When the others were done, I would climb in the back of the realtor's 4x4 truck until the next house, Montana style. There were a couple of times before I would climb into the next pool that my hubby would say "make sure you don't pee in there." Okay weird dreams, but I am sure that there have been weirder out there.... BUT what makes me laugh is I had this dream twice... I think I need to hire someone to interrupt my own, inner psyche. :)

It was after these dreams that I decided we are most assuredly getting a house with a pool. I am sure that it will feel as awesome as it did in the dream to just float. Plus, I could really save on toilet paper costs.... hahaha just kidding.

Looking forward to meeting Arizona and having adventures. We hope Arizona is ready for all of us!!!

  5. Yay! That will be fun for 8 months of the year! If you are not already, you will be masters at moving after this one! You should start working on your Spanish. ;)

  6. Still bummed you are moving, but so glad that your family will be able to be together more often...And that you will be stationary for quite a while. Phoenix is a MUCH prettier desert than Las Vegas. A pool is a MUST, especially to survive the summers with kids. Congrats! What an exciting new adventure!
